How can worship of the Lord be polluted today?
By the teaching of Apostasy. We know the book of Jude is the only book
devoted to this teaching, which means, falling away (2 Thess 2:3), departure
from the faith (1 Tim 4:1), unwillingness to endure sound doctrine (2 Tim 4:3),
false teachers and damnable heresies (2
Peter 2:1; 3:3).
Jude tells us when Jesus our Lord returns to the earth,
He will executed judgment on all ungodly, which makes sense.
What I found interesting was vs
15b: and of
all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."
Jesus looking at what individuals have to have against
Jesus personally. After reading this, Every
time I see someone in the news say things against Jesus, this comes to mind and
say in my mind, please do not say that because of what might happen to
you. This is what is spoken against
Jesus. We can read and hear what is said
and see this apostasy play out in our society.
Jude
1:14-15 NKJV Now Enoch, the seventh from
Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes
with ten thousands of His saints, (15) to execute judgment on all, to convict all
who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed
in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have
spoken against Him."
