Paul talks very clearly to Timothy about “rightly dividing the Word of Truth”. What does it mean?

When I look up the meaning of the terms “rightly dividing the Word of Truth” the Greek word for dividing is orthotomeo, which means to make a straight cut, to dissect (expound) correctly (the divine message).  The Greek word for Truth is aletheia, means truth, true, verity.  We know that the Word of Truth is our Lord and Messiah, Jesus.  Jesus taught us a Way of Life to live and that includes how He lived, what He did, what is written about him and what His teaching were.   To really divide and understand Jesus, we are to do these things.  The Holy Spirit that lives in us will lead us in all things and we will be able to rightly learn about Jesus.  Paul teaches us what are the true doctrines of the church are in Heb 6 which are 7.    The Word of Jesus (Truth – Holy Scriptures) explains all the things about Jesus.

Blessing

Stephen

(2 Tim 2:15)  Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Dividing: 3718. orthotomeo, or-thot-om-eh'-o; to make a straight cut, i.e. (fig.) to dissect (expound) correctly (the divine message):--rightly divide.

Truth:  225. aletheia, al-ay'-thi-a; truth:--true, X truly, truth, verity.

(John 14:6)  Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

(1 John 5:6)  This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

(2 John 1:3)  Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love.

(John 17:17)  Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

(Col 1:5)  the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel

(John 4:24)  God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

(John 14:17)  the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

(John 16:13)  But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth.

(Heb 6:1-2)  Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, {2} instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
