What did Paul mean as the “blessed hope.” (Titus 2:13)

Looking at Tit 2:13, this verse by Paul shows others how I feel inside my heart that I am looking forward to the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God, Lord, Messiah, Jesus, our elder brother.  The Greek word for blessed is makarios which means supremely blest, happy.  The Greek word for hope is elpis which means anticipate, expectation or confidence, faith.  I looked forward to the day when our Lord, Jesus returns to this earth and sets up His physical Kingdom and rule all the world for a 1000 years.  We will be changed, at the twinkling of an eye and we shall be changed. For our corruptible body must put on incorruption, and our mortal body must put on immortality.  We will be the most blessed and holy because we will be part of the first resurrection and shall be kings and priest of God and of Jesus and shall reign with him for a thousand years.  Yes, we will rule on the earth until all things are restored and we have untold blessing waiting for us in the future and in store for us the crown of righteousness.  Blessing to each of you.

Stephen

Titus 2:13 - Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Blessed:  3107. makarios, supremely blest; fortunate, well off:--blessed, happy

Rev 20:4 - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Rev 5:10 - And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Rev 20:6 - Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

1 Cor 15:52-53 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. {53} For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

2 Tim 4:8 NIV - Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
