Psalm 119 and my reflection

Psalm 119 and my reflection

When I read verse 73 of Psalms 119, where the Lord said his hands made me and fashioned me.  Yes, God made each one of us and knew us from the beginning of creation or foundation of the world.  When God made us, He knows exactly what we need and for our understanding, He gave us His Word, the Holy Scriptures that explains to us how to live the Way of Life.  If we do not follow the Way of Life, then we will follow the way of death.  There are only two ways to live.  His Word is our factory warranty and tells us what we are to do in all aspects of life.  We need to read and following this Instruction manual which is the Holy Scriptures on what we need to do.  By realizing that we are the clay and God is the potter and we will be what God wants us to be.  The Lord has plans for each of us for the future.  What a blessings that is waiting for each one of us.

Why is the Word of God so important?

Why is the Word of God so important?

Why is the Word of God so important, is because Jesus our Lord and Creator told us that the Father Word is truth and by this truth, we are sanctify. The Creator also told us we are blessed who hear the Word of God and Keep it.  The Apostle Paul tells me through the Scripture what I shall receive, it is:

1.   is given by inspiration of God

2.   is profitable for doctrine,

3.   is for reproof

4.   is for correction

5.   is for instruction in righteousness

Why?  That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work

These are just some of the commands that Jesus have given.  We know we are told that is we love Jesus, we will keep His commandments.  The only way we can show we love Jesus, by His own words, is to keep His commandments.  We know the Christian world says they keep all the commandments except for one.  As pointed out, all people will keep the Feast of Tabernacles during the Millennium and interesting, the Temple during the Millennium will only be open on the Sabbaths and New Moons.

The bottom line to the Word of God is to live according to the Words, by the instructions, by the example, and by the commands of our Lord Jesus.

John 17:17 NKJV  Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

Psalms 33:4 NKJV  For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth.

Pro 30:5 NKJV  Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

Luke 11:28 NKJV  But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"

2Ti 3:16-17 NKJV  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,  (17)  that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

John 14:15 NKJV  "If you love Me, keep My commandments.

John 14:23-24 NKJV  Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.  (24)  He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.

1Jn 5:3 NKJV  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Zec 14:16-19 NKJV  And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to” keep the Feast of Tabernacles.”  (17)  And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.  (18)  If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  (19)  This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Eze 46:3 NKJV  Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the entrance to this gateway before the LORD on the Sabbaths and the New Moons.

Psalm 119 and my reflections

Psalm 119 and my reflections

“I am a stranger in the earth” is very interesting statement; this means I am a pilgrim on the earth which means I am an ambassador on the earth if I have the Holy Spirit living in me which we are then the Temple of God.  The Apostle Paul tells us that our citizenship is in heaven.

Yes, we are Ambassadors, Lights to the World and the Temple of the living God and how we act and react to people in the world will reflex on the Creator God.

As His ambassadors, we must seek to represent Him in our conduct and actions.

Psalms 119:19 NKJV  I am a stranger in the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from me.

Philippians 3:20 NKJV  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

Who was Demas?

Who was Demas?

When the Apostle Paul wrote the Epistle to the Colossians around 60 A.D., Demas was with Paul and a friend and was a faithful helper, which Paul said Demas greet you, the Colossians.
When the Apostle Paul wrote the Epistle to Philemon around 60 A.D., Demas was with Paul and was a faithful helper and fellow laborer and Paul said Demas greet you.
Now, the Apostle Paul said in the second Epistle to Timothy around 67 A.D. that Demas forsake his friend Paul.  Why, having loved this present world.  Just seven years.  Demas had a good beginning, but did not finish or end well.  Demas  could not endure the hardships of helping the Apostle Paul and instead wanted the pleasures and comfort he had back home in Thessalonica, a place of safety, not subject himself to martyrdom.
This is an example that I have to be careful of not following in Demas shoes.  Satan is now going after anything to do with Christians and Satan has his own servants in the service as ministers.    Only by the grace of God and the Holy Spirit living in us, we may finish well and have a part of the Wedding supper and be Kings and Priests under our Creator God, Jesus.
Colossians 4:14 NKJV  Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you.

Philemon 1:23-24 NKJV  Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you,  (24)  as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow laborers.

2 Timothy 4:10 NKJV  for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica—Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.

Psalm 115 and my reflection

Psalm 115 and my reflection

I really did not know which Hallel psalm was said to be the song that our Lord Jesus and the disciples sang at the end of the Passover Service (this is a very good example we are to follow) right before they went out to the Mount of Olives.  Yes, Jesus and the disciples enjoy music.  Remember, we do have a heavenly choir, the Scriptures is always talking about.  Jesus is always giving glory to the Father and just reading the first 3 verses of the chapter and in singing this Psalm, it says the Father does whatever He pleases.  Very interesting.

This Psalms redirects the glory from individuals who wants it themselves to the proper focus, the Lord God of All.  It is so hard with the human nature we have, but with the Holy Spirit, this can be done and will be done, as we are a new creature, co-mingling the Holy Spirit and Human Nature and we have this new creation.  This is why the Holy Spirit can live in us and lead us into all truths.  This is why this would be a very good Passover Song.  Since all of the Hallel psalm are for Jesus Feast Days that were given to mankind.

Mat 26:30 NKJV  And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Psa 115:1-3 NKJV  Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth.  (2)  Why should the Gentiles say, "So where is their God?"  (3)  But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.

Psalm 111 and my reflection

Psalm 111 and my reflection

I have been instructed in the past about not calling anyone rabbi or father, or even reverend when I was growing up.  In Jesus own words, He said do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren”  and “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.”  So what do we do as Christian, as the only way we can show we love Chris is to obey His commands,  is to call one religious group “rabbi” and another religious group “father.”

While going through the book of Psalms, I notice in chapter 11, verse 9 that “he hath commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is his name.”   As we were told, “The holy God is the reverend God. That title should never be applied to a man. No preacher should be called “Reverend.” This is a title for God alone.”  What do we find, preachers and church leaders want to be called “reverend.”  Contrary to the commands of the Scriptures.

No wonder in the future, Jesus tells us in His own words in John 16, “, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.”  or my words, Christians will be killing again as of old time other Christians who do not believe as they do and they will be telling others they are doing God’s work.

We must always keep our eyes on the prize, goal that our Lord and Creator has set before us.

Blessings

Psalms 111:9-10 KJV  He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.  (10)  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Matthew 23:6-10 NKJV  They love the best places at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues,  (7)  greetings in the marketplaces, and to be called by men, 'Rabbi, Rabbi.'  (8)  But you, do not be called 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.  (9)  Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.  (10)  And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

John 16:2-3 NKJV  They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.  (3)  And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.
