Day of Atonement - Removal of Satan: www.seachord.org

Day of Atonement - Removal of Satan         September 28, 2020

Atonement or At-One-Ment with God

We are here to celebrate the Day of Atonement, which comes 10 days after the Feast of Trumpets, on the 10th of Tishri and 5 days before the Feast of Tabernacles.

Atonement or Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year {a day of fasting} was also the intense and dramatic day of the year in the Holy Temple, where the High Priest is allowed to go into the Holy of Holies to performed the service of Atonement on behalf of the entire nation of Israel.

Atonement period is a time of reflection in our lives, turning our lives around in certain parts of what we do, a repentance of things in our lives, a realignment, recommitment, and redirection towards God.  Atonement exists for one reason only; God loves us, you and me.

Leviticus 25:9 Sound a horn {Shofar} on the tenth day of the seventh month of this fiftieth year. Likewise, on the Day of Atonement sound the horn throughout your land.

Satan is the god of this world right now and has directed the nations for the last 6000 years.  Satan has influenced leaders and inspired World Wars and cause misery, death and suffering from the time of Adam and Eve.  Jesus tells us Satan days are number.

Satan has been in rebellion from a long time ago.

Isaiah 14:12-15 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! (13) For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;

(14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.' (15) Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.

Satan is the prince of the power of the air and will be replaced by our Lord and King, Jesus at His coming at the start of the Millennium.  Yes; Satan’s days are numbered and the Day of Atonement looks forward to this event.

When Satan is removed, he cannot longer broadcast his moods and evil, rebellious attitudes.

This day then pictures Christ replacing Satan as world ruler and removing him to a place completely away and apart from mankind.  Satan will be bound and locked up, no longer able to deceive the nations for 1000 years.

Job 1:6-7 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.  (7)  The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it."

Matthew 4:8-9 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. (9) And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."

Notice, Jesus did not disagree with the devil. And have already has already overcome the Devil and qualified to replace him.

John 12:31 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.

John 14:30 I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me.

Ephesians 2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

2 Corinthians 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

1 John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

Revelation 12:9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Jesus Christ is coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to take over the governments of this world with His Holy Saints and to remove, replace and restrain Satan.

The Day of Atonement reveals what will happen to Satan and his demons, because this part of the message is unique to the 5th High Day of Jesus plan.

Revelation 20:1-3 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key to the bottomless pit, with a large chain in his hand.  (2)  He captured the dragon, that ancient serpent, also known as the devil and Satan, and tied him up for a thousand years.  (3)  He threw him into the bottomless pit, locked it, and sealed it over him to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were over. After that he must be set free for a little while.

Revelation 18:2 He cried out in a powerful voice, "Fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen! She has become a home for demons. She is a prison for every unclean spirit, a prison for every unclean bird, and a prison for every unclean and hated beast.

·      What does that mean for us, followers of our Lord Jesus.  When Satan and his demons are removed from office, they must be replaced by qualified rulers.

·      We know Satan will be replaced by Jesus and we, His Saints, will replace the demons rule the world.  This is why Satan is trying to devour Saints.

1 Peter 5:8 Be clear-minded and alert. Your opponent, the devil, is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

The Apostle Paul predict the end of world rule by fallen angels

Hebrews 2:5 For he did not put the coming world we are talking about under the control of angels.

Again, the Apostle Paul explains who will replace the demons as rulers over the world?

Romans 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, be with all of you!

1 Corinthians 6:2-3 You know that the saints will rule the world, don't you? And if the world is going to be ruled by you, can't you handle insignificant cases?  (3)  You know that we will rule angels, not to mention things in this life, don't you?     {this is what we will be doing}

Only by the power of the Holy Spirit will we be able to rule under Jesus, this is the message of the Day of Atonement.  We need to become at one with God.  At-One-Ment with God.

How are we to do this, by fasting, humbling ourselves, to draw closer to God and to see ourselves as we are and to see God as He is, our salvation.

But, what is fasting, denying ourselves food and water for 24 hours, from sunset to sunset.  This is the only command “fast” Jesus gives us.  When we fast, our bodies will cry for food and our spirit will have the sincere desire to obey God.

The Feast of the Lord

Leviticus 23:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.

Chapter 23 list all of Jesus Feast and we are to observe them today.

A commanded assembly on this Day of Atonement, we are told to afflict ourselves is on of Jesus Feast Days..

Leviticus 23:26-32 The LORD spoke to Moses,  (27)  "However, on the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It's a sacred assembly for you. Humble yourselves {means fasting} and bring an offering made by fire to the LORD. (28)  "You are not to do any work that same day. It's the Day of Atonement, because your atonement is made in the presence of the LORD your God. (29)  Anyone who doesn't humble himself that same day is to be eliminated from contact with his people.  (30)  I'll eliminate anyone who does work that day from among his people.

(31)  You are not to do any work. This is to be an eternal ordinance throughout your generations wherever you live. (32)  It's a Sabbath of rest for you, on which you are to humble yourselves starting the evening of the ninth day of the month. You are to observe your Sabbath from evening to evening."

Humble or afflict, just means to fast, to beat down, depress, chasten.

Psalms 35:13 But as for me, when they were sick, My clothing was sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting; And my prayer would return to my own heart.

How are we to fast

What does Jesus our Lord give us instruction when we fast

Matthew 6:16 "Whenever you fast, don't be gloomy like the hypocrites, because they put on sad faces to show others they are fasting. I tell you with certainty, they have their full reward!

Matthew 6:17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,  (18)  so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Isaiah said there is a right way and a wrong way to fast.

Isaiah 58:3 'Why have we fasted,' they say, 'and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?' "In fact, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, And exploit all your laborers.

Isaiah 58:5 Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the LORD?  (6)  "Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?

Atonement just means to set “at one.”  This means that God and man to form as one by uniting with the Holy Spirit and this can only be done until Satan is removed, we are change at Jesus coming to the earth and the whole world has repented.  We will be there to help those who are still alive.

What about the New Testament Church, did they observed the Day of Atonement.

Acts 27:9  Now when much time had been spent, and sailing was now dangerous because the Fast was already over, Paul advised them,

The word “fast” refers to the Day of Atonement.  Luke wrote this section of the Book of Acts over 30 years after the death and resurrection of Jesus.  Luke would never mention “the fast” unless he and all the church been observing the day.  Remember, the Holy Spirit inspired these words in the Book of Acts.

We know the early New Testament Church of God is our example for today, which are following the example given us.

1 Thessalonians 2:14 For you, brethren, became imitators of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus. For you also suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Judeans,

But as we grow in the knowledge of the teachings of Jesus, we do begin to understand why we observe the feast days.  When we do understand the meaning of Jesus Appointed times, these feast days, they become more meaningful, yes that includes the Day of Atonement.

2 Peter 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen

The Day of Atonement celebrates the time when Satan will be banished, prevented from influencing mankind, and the nations will at last come to accept Christ and His atoning sacrifice.

When we fast on the Day of Atonement it pictures to us the time and condition when we will no longer need to eat.  We will be changed to Spirit Bodies and will be Kings and Priests of the Most High God and not required food or water, but we can if we want to.  We will be like Jesus as He is.  This day should be a time of great rejoicing.

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,  (25)  not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Each year this seems so much closer and has a deeper meaning to us, the Body of Christ.

It is significant that we celebrated the Feast of Trumpets 10 days ago, representing the return to the earth of our Lord and King, His 2nd coming and

Today, we celebrate the Day of Atonement, representing the removal of Satan and his demons and restoring all things, we the Saints will become at one with God and become rulers of the world under our Lord King and in 5 days,

These last 10 days we though meditate about our life, our sins and repentance and what the Day of Atonement.

Romans 5:11 KJV  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Romans 5:11 ISV Not only that, but we also continue to boast about God through our Lord Jesus the Messiah, through whom we have now been reconciled.

Look at verse 11 first, KJV says atonement, where the rest of the translations says, restore or reconcile.  The Greek word “katallage” can be translated to Atonement, restore or reconcile.  So, when you see the word, reconcile, in the Bible, it can be translated to Atonement.

Romans 5:9-11 Now that we have been justified by his blood, how much more will we be saved from wrath through him! (10) For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life! (11) Not only that, but we also continue to boast about God through our Lord Jesus the Messiah, through whom we have now been reconciled.

We will be rejoicing at the Feast of Tabernacles, which represents the Kingdom of God during the Millennium and then the Last Great Day, which represents the great resurrection of all who lived in the past.

Let us enjoy this coming Feast of Tabernacles and the Great Last Day.

Feast of Trumpets – Jesus Returns: www.seachord.org

Feast of Trumpets – Jesus Returns            September 19, 2020

Feast of Trumpets and New Year. Sound the Alarm, literally "day of shouting and blasting," 2 different trumpets, 2 different celebrations on the same day.

Leviticus 25:9 Sound a horn {Shofar} on the tenth day of the seventh month of this fiftieth year. Likewise on the Day of Atonement sound the horn throughout your land.

The Shofar is mentioned seventy two times in the bible in various contexts and functions.

Feast of Trumpets:  Jesus Christ returns to the earth as King and sets up His Kingdom by replacing every human government and 2nd: changes His bride at the twinkling of an eye to a Spirit Being at the sounding of a great trumpet blast.

The Father will send His Son, Jesus the Lord, to the earth to save mankind from nuclear mass destruction, to end human misery and suffering, to usher in peace, happiness and joy for all mankind.

Jesus will rule over and judge all nations and will establish a New Civilization.  That is what this day is all about, the salvation of all mankind.

Jesus allows individuals 6000 years to rule the earth based on the way and rulership of Satan and see what it is like.  Jesus will end Satan rule when He returns to the earth and will begin 1000 years based on the Law of God to bring peace, happiness and prosperity to all.  The world today sees the Law of God as Bad or the Words of the Bible not for them.

Now let’ look at the first of the Holy Days that come in the fall of the year.  It is the Feast of Trumpets.  It falls on a different day each year, usually in late September or the first part of October.  The Feast would always fall on the first day of the seventh month, the month called Tishri.

The term Rosh Hashanah, meaning "the beginning of the year," appears only here, where it refers to the general time of year, and not specifically to the Feast of Trumpets

Ezekiel 40:1 At the beginning of year 25 of our captivity, on the tenth day of the fourteenth year after the destruction of Jerusalem--on that very day--the LORD grabbed me by his hand and took me there.

We are not to be confused with Rosh HaShanna, the Civil New Year, occurring on the same day – Believe silver trumpets

Rosh Hashanah, literally meaning "head the year", is the Jewish New Year.

Feast of Trumpets, Yom Terurah

Numbers 29:1 and in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work. For you it is a day of blowing the trumpets.

Leviticus 23:23-25 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,  (24)  "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a Sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.  (25)  You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.' "

Nehemiah 8:2 So on the first day of the seventh month, Ezra the priest brought out the Law before the assembled people. Both men and women were in attendance, as well as all who could understand what they were hearing.

Convocation just means a "meeting" or "assembly."

This feast uses an interesting symbol—the blowing of trumpets.

On this day, the high priest was to blow a trumpet. Not just an ordinary trumpet, but a special one made from a large ram's horn.

It was called a shofar. You could not play a tune on it; all it could do was giving out one piercing blast.

Shofar: hollowed-out curved ram’s horn trumpet, signified a warning, an alarm of war

The shofar was used in ancient times to sound the alarm in case of war. The watchman would blow it to alert people if he saw an invading army approaching. But why did God have the shofar blown on the Day of Trumpets?

Both the ram’s horn and silver trumpets are blown on this day.

Contrast with the silver trumpets (on first day of the new year)

Numbers 10:2 "Make two silver trumpets for yourself; you shall make them of hammered work; you shall use them for calling the congregation and for directing the movement of the camps.

Psalms 98:6 With trumpets and the sound of a ram's horn shout in the presence of the LORD, the king!

Last Trump, “Trumpet of God” when Jesus returns to the earth.  Are the silver trumpets for calling His bride to the Wedding Supper and the ram’s horn call to battle the nations, on this day?

The New Testament clearly shows this is called the first resurrection, and we will be changed to a glorified spirit life, becoming spirit beings in the family of God with the blowing of a great trumpet.

Firstfruits harvested at the Last Trumpet.

The Feast of Trumpets pictures the time when Jesus Christ steps into our world and imposes His Kingdom in place of every human government. It also pictures the resurrection of what is called in the Bible the "dead in Christ"

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.  (14)  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.  (15)  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  (16)  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  (17)  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  (18)  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

This is an amazing miracle as Jesus Christ comes in the air (not to the surface of the earth), and with a commanding voice of an archangel and the trumpet of God the dead in Christ will arise from their graves. He then commands the dead saints to ARISE! At the same time to announce this resurrection the trumpet of God will sound.

At that instant the dead saints will be resurrected and receive their new immortal bodies in the twinkling of the eye.  Then both the dead and alive in Christ will arise to the heavens to meet the Lord in the air.

Members of God's Church, body who are still living and died when Christ returns will be changed on that day.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (52)  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Matthew 24:31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, and then you also will appear with him in glory.

John wrote Jesus is coming with the clouds and people will mourn

Revelation 1:7 "Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen.

Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

Jesus return will not be welcomed by the armies and the leaders of this world. In fact, the coming of Christ is accompanied by a time of war. The  "kingdom of the world" will not willingly yield to nor submit to Jesus Christ and Jesus will have to make war.

Revelation 11:18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth."

Jesus will rule as the King of kings and Lord of Lords.  Then those who have received God’s Holy Spirit during their lifetime will be resurrected to Spirit Beings and will inherit Christ world-ruling Kingdom and become priests and kings under our Elder Brother.  Jesus Himself said, He would raise us, His followers, at this future time to Spirit Beings and be change to a glorified spirit life—becoming spirit beings in the family of God.

John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

The Feast of Trumpets foreshadowed certain aspects of the ministry of Jesus Christ, one aspect is the blowing of trumpets to the future Day of Judgment.

Joel 2:1 Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the LORD is coming, For it is at hand:

The trumpet of God will sound as a warning of the coming day of judgment.

When the Shofar is blown, we know that Jesus is coming soon and this world will be judged as well as our enemy Satan and his demons.

Jesus our Lord will return to the earth, literally touching down on the Mount of Olives across from the Temple Mound in Jerusalem. He will instantly destroy all the armies gathered to fight at the Jezreel Valley in what is referred to as the “Battle of Armageddon.”

Zechariah 14:4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.

Zechariah 14:12 This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. {rot – consumed away}

This is the reason Jesus robe is dipped in blood and wielding a sword will “strike the nations.  {in this new valley}

Revelation 14:18-20 From the altar came another angel who had authority over fire. He called out in a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp sickle, "Swing your sharp sickle, and gather the bunches of grapes from the vine of the earth, because those grapes are ripe."

(19) So the angel swung his sickle in the earth, gathered the grapes from the earth, and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath. (20) The wine press was trampled outside the city, and blood flowed from the wine press as high as a horse's bridle for about 183 miles.

Revelation 19:13-15 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.  (14)  And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.  (15)  Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Isaiah 63:1-4  Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— "I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save."  (2)  Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress?  (3)  "I have trodden the winepress alone, And from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, And trampled them in My fury; Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, And I have stained all My robes.  (4)  For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come.

Bozrah in Hebrew;  Petra in Greek: “Sheepfold.” A protected enclosure, with a narrow entrance. Place of Safety?  Jesus goes here first, a side trip, before landing on the Mount of Olives.

Only one man has the power that is “mighty to save”: Jesus, the Messiah. “Day of Vengeance”

The kingdoms of the world are currently controlled by a powerful spirit being called Satan the devil, who has deceived this world for nearly 6000 years.

Satan has convinced individuals that God’s Way of Life is wrong and his way of death is right.   The world will believe that Jesus is the enemy and they will fight against him.  This evil being is the real power behind the scenes of all human folly.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In their case, the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe to keep them from seeing the light of the glorious gospel of the Messiah, who is the image of God.

Satan has blinded and deceived the world. This day pictures Jesus Christ returning as a conquering King to rule the earth in peace. Because of rebellion and it is ashamed, He will have to make war!

All of these purposes find their ultimate fulfillment in the New Testament teaching that Jesus Christ will return to earth as King and assemble His people, you and me, His Holy Saints, together at the sounding of a great trumpet blast.

The Feast of Trumpets gives us hope that Jesus will return and set all things the way it should be.

We are receiving a warning of impending national disaster through His Word, the Holy Scriptures and His ministers.

Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.'

Who is the watchman today??  I really do not know.

These two events: the return of Jesus Christ to rule the people of the earth and to the resurrected of those who have obeyed God (the first harvest), are what the Feast of Trumpets pictures. It looks forward to the beginning of the New World - the World Tomorrow!

We, as His Body and brothers of His, rejoice on the Feast of Trumpets because we look forward to the return of Jesus, the Messiah when we are changed to immortal.

Before the righteous reign of Jesus Christ can begin on this earth, Satan himself must be dealt with. This next step in God's plan is told through the next High Day, the Day of Atonement.  We will continue in 10 days.

Feast of Tabernacles 2020, End Times: www.seachord.org

Feast of Tabernacles 2020, End Times            September 05, 2020

Why are we here today, preparing to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.  This is what this feast, Feast of Tabernacles is all about, the 1000 year rule of Jesus as King and High Priest on the earth and we will be changed and will serve the people under Jesus as kings, Priests and instructors.

How many people really believe Jesus will literally return and rule the Earth for a 1000 years.  Even among Christians belief, there is a major debate, the return of Jesus to the earth, is it symbolic or a literal return to set up His Kingdom. Do we really believe what the Bible say and do we believe the Scriptures is the Word of God.

I should say, I do not take the Bible literality,

but I do take the Bible Seriously

{there are over 200 types or figures of Speech in the Bible – puns, simile, allegory, Metaphor, analogy, type, parables, etc.}

If we look at the great tribulation {Matt 24:21-24}, what is your Hermeneutics {just means what do you believe about the Scriptures} when Jesus will return.  Is it Pre-trib, Mid-trib, Post-trib when we are change to spirit being and Jesus returns at the Millennium.

Your Hermeneutics will tell me if you believe the Scriptures are more Allegorical to Literal understanding.  Your Eschatology is the study of Last things.  We all have this understanding.

A millennial – teaches there will be no millennial reign of the righteous on the earth.  They view the millennium as symbolic and see the kingdom of Jesus as already present in the church started with Pentecost.

Post-Millennial - an interpretation of {Rev 20} which sees Christ's second coming as occurring after the "Millennium" is over.

Pre millennial - belief that Jesus will physically return to the Earth before the Millennium starts, a literal thousand-year of peace and based upon a literal interpretation of {Rev 20:1-6}.

Why do we observe the Jesus Feast today.

We take for granted we are commanded to observe the Feasts as a Christian.  What proof do we have.

We look towards or point to the tradition or requirement that Jesus’ parents kept God's holy days and went to Jerusalem 3 times a year {Luke 2:41}

We look towards or point to Jesus Himself kept God's Holy Days during his ministry on the earth as our example to follow {Matt 26:17}

Remember, Paul said follow me as I follow Jesus {1 Cor 11:1} and the Apostles observed the same feasts after they were called "Christians". {Acts 18:21, 20:16, 27:9}

The start of the New Testament Church started on Pentecost {Acts 2:1}

We believe the purpose of the Holy Days is The Fathers plan of Salvation for all of mankind and each Feast Day represents one of the parts of His plan.  Jesus Himself made it crystal clear that we cannot know the date of His return.

Matthew 24:36 "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

This is what this feast, Feast of Tabernacles is all about, the 1000 year rule of Jesus as King and High Priest on the earth.

We know the Second Coming is a Christian concept regarding a future return of Jesus the Messiah to the Earth after his "first coming" and ascension to heaven about two thousand years ago.

The Bible warns there will be conflicting messages about when and where Jesus will return.

Why does Jesus return, is because of you and me, the Elect or as we are call, Saints.

Matthew 24:22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the Elect's sake those days will be shortened.

1 Thessalonians 3:13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His Saints.

1 Corinthians 1:2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be Saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Jude 1:14-15 Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His Saints, (15)  to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

How long is the millennium – 1000 years

Revelation 20:2-5  He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.  (3)  He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.  (4)  I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.  (5)  (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.

Church Fathers writings, there are more not covered

·      Around 200 AD, Eusebius writes “there will be a period of some thousand years after the (first) resurrection of the dead, and that the Kingdom of Christ will be set up in material form on this very earth!” ( Ecclesiastical History, B3, C 39)

·      Justin Martyr taught the same thing, saying that after the 1,000-year reign of Christ on the earth a general resurrection and judgment of all people would take place.  (Dialogue with Trypho, Chapters 80 and 81)

·      Irenaeus,130–202, wrote: “For in as many days as this world was made, in so many thousand years shall it be concluded” “”(Gen. 2: 1, 2) of the things formerly created, as also it is a prophecy of what is to come” (Against Heresies, B5, C 28, 33)

Jesus will return to the earth through the clouds as He left.

Matthew 24:30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His Elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Jesus will now set up His Kingdom, prepare it for the Father when the New Jerusalem comes down to the earth.

What about the Feast of Tabernacles.  Do we ever stop and ask ourselves why do we go to the Feast.

Does it means a vacation, travel, food for whatever our heart desires, the adventure of new experiences, seeing old friends and making new ones or being tied to home because of virus.

The travel, the fun, the living in temporary homes {hotel rooms} are meant to teach us lessons.  Remember, God always has a purpose for the things He tells us to do.

Tabernacle only means a temporary shelter or tent.  Our physical body is only temporary shelter for the Holy Spirit.

This life is our training ground to learn skills, developing righteous character and proper personality.  Living out of a suitcase reminds us that life is only temporary.

2 Corinthians 5:1-2 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.  (2)  Meanwhile we groan {or sigh}, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling,

2 Corinthians 5:5 God has prepared us for this and has given us his Spirit as a guarantee.

2 Peter 1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.

The Feast is a time to rejoice; because it pictures the When Jesus returns to the earth and starts ruling over the earth and we are changed to Spirit Beings, same as Jesus is.

Is it because we are command to by our Lord, Jesus.

1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. (3) For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."

Where does it cover the Feast of Tabernacles

Leviticus 23:34-37 "Speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the LORD. (35) On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it. (36) For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it. (37) 'These are the Feasts of the LORD which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day--

Leviticus 23:44 This is what Moses spoke about to the Israelis regarding the LORD's appointed feasts.

Leviticus 23:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.

Who is the Lord that said these are my Feasts, the one we know as Jesus, the Creator said this.

We know that the one who was the Spokesman or Lord of the Old Testament was the one who we know as Jesus the Messiah in the New Testament.  Jesus is the creator of all things.

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (2)  He was in the beginning with God.  (3)  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 7:2 Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

Why did John call it the Jews Feast, one of the reasons was the book of John was written the Church, which was basically made up of Gentiles.

John 7:10 But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.

As Jesus was growing up, He went to the festivals in Jerusalem with His family. He continued to obey the command to observed God’s Feast every year as a youth to an adult.

Luke 2:41-42 His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. (42) And when He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast.

What about the Millennium, the 1000 years rule of Jesus as King and Priest.

The Scriptures says that when our Lord Jesus returns to the earth at the start of the Millennium, everyone will go up to Jerusalem year after year to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. What does that mean.  Jesus is going to keep His feast and require for everyone to keep or observed it.

Zechariah 14:16-19 And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. (Yes, everyone will, including us, now Spirit)

What happens if the nations do not keep the Feast of Tabernacles

(17)  And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain (Punishment).  (18)  If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

(19)  This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. (Strong hand, Isa 40:10)

Ezekiel and Isaiah cover the various Feast Days during the Millennium

The Feast of Tabernacles will celebrate Israel’s new position in God’s Millennial Kingdom

Isaiah 66:23  And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me," says the LORD.

Ezekiel 44:24 In controversy they shall stand as judges, and judge it according to My judgments. They shall keep My laws and My statutes in all My appointed meetings (feast days), and they shall hallow My Sabbaths (Holy Days).  (Notice, My)

The Millennial Temple, will celebrate the Feast: Ezekiel 40 - 48

Ezekiel 45:25 "In the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the feast, he shall do likewise for seven days, according to the sin offering, the burnt offering, the grain offering, and the oil."

Ezekiel 46:1  "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The gate of the inner court facing east is to be shut on the six working days, but on the Sabbath day and on the day of the New Moon it is to be opened.

Are we not to follow Jesus example in life, Paul said to {1 Cor 11:1}.

1 Peter 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

1 John 2:3-6 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.  (4)  He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  (5)  But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.  (6)  He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

If we celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, we are promise 3 things:

Deuteronomy 16:15 For seven days you are to celebrate {the festival} in the presence of the LORD your God at the place where the LORD will choose; for the LORD your {1} God will bless you in all your harvest and in {2} everything you do {in all the work of your hands}, and your {3} joy will be complete.

The Feast is a time to rejoice because it pictures the World Tomorrow, 1000 year, the Millennium, which all things will be restored.

We will have a 1,000 years of peace and prosperity for those humans that will be alive at Jesus return to the earth.

But what about you and me.  We will be the firstfruits of God's spiritual born into God's Family.  We will have the opportunity of bringing Word of God to every human then alive and to those born during the Millennium

We know Jesus will rule from Jerusalem and we will rule under Jesus, as kings and priest. We will be changed to Spirit born Saints when Jesus returns to the earth.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 Let me tell you a secret {or mystery}. Not all of us will die, but all of us will be changed-- (52) in a moment, faster than an eye can blink, at the sound of the last trumpet. Indeed, that trumpet will sound, and then the dead will be raised never to decay, and we will be changed.  To Spirit Being just as our Elder Brother was, Jesus and we will be like him.

1 John 3:2 Dear friends, we are now God's children, but what we will be like has not been revealed yet. We know that when the Messiah is revealed, we will be like him, because we will see him as he is.

Daniel 7:14 Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:18 But the Saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.'

Daniel 7:27 Then the kingdom and dominion, And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, Shall be given to the people, the Saints of the Most High. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.'

Revelation 5:10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."  {we will be there}

Revelation 2:26-27 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations  (27)  'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels— as I also have received from My Father;

1 Corinthians 6:2-3 You know that the Saints will rule the world, don't you? And if the world is going to be ruled by you, can't you handle insignificant cases? (3) You know that we will rule angels, not to mention things in this life, don't you?

Will we be serving the people by teaching the Law of God and directing them to take the right action?  We will be teachers.

Isaiah 30:20-21 And though the Lord gives you The bread of adversity and the water of affliction, Yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, But your eyes shall see your teachers.  (21)  Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it," Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.   {we will be doing this?}

Will we be successful in teaching the people during the Millennium?

Jeremiah 31:34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."

Then at this time, another prophecy will be fulfilled:

Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.

We will be there to see it
