Mark 9:14-41, Jesus Heals a Boy with an Unclean Spirit

Mark 9:14-41                                               December 15, 2018

Last time in Mark, we covered the transfiguration, now

Jesus Heals a Boy with an Unclean Spirit, casts out a difficult demon that the disciples could not heal.  The scribes were taunting them.

Mark 9:14 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them.

Luke points out the time was the next day and they had just come down the mountain. *Luke 9:37.

On the next day, after they came down the mountain, they came to the other 9 disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them.

Mark 9:15  As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.

A crowd had gathered, and the scribes were stirring things up, like normal.

Mark 9:16  And He asked the scribes, "What are you arguing with them about?"

Is it reasonable to assume that scribes criticized the disciples for their inability to help the demon-possessed boy.

Mark 9:17 A man in the crowd answered, "Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.

Luke tells us the man told Jesus that he is my only child.  *Luke 9:38.

Matthew pointed out the man approached Jesus and knelt before him.  *Matthew 17:14.

A man approached Jesus and knelt before him from the crowd, answered, "Teacher, I brought you my only child, a son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.

Someone who was demon poses and kept him from talking.

Mark 9:18  Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not."

Luke pointed out that it was a spirit that seized him.  *Luke 9:39-40

Matthew said the man’s son is suffering greatly.  He falls into the fire or into the water and disciples could not heal him.  *Matthew 17:15,16

His son is suffering greatly and a spirit seizes him, it throws him to the ground and falls into the fire or into the water. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not heal him."

He was both deaf and dumb, cause 7 things:  seizes him, throws down, foams mouth, gnashes teeth and become rigid. into the fire or into the water

·      Type of spirit that even the Jewish Rabbi could not deal with.

·      Procedure was they first would ask the demon who he was to identify themselves, their name.

·      The demon that was making him not to speak, there was no way for them to identify themselves.

·      This was required before they could have the demon spirit removed.

Was the disciples doing the way the Jews would?

Mark 9:19 "You unbelieving generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me."

Luke said, Jesus said, "O faithless and perverse generation, and Bring your son here." *Luke 9:41

"You o faithless and perverse and unbelieving generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me."

Who was Jesus frustrated with:  the scribes, the father, or His disciples or all three.

Mark 9:20  So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

Demon threw him down?  Do they have complete control over the body?

Mark 9:21 Jesus asked the boy's father, "How long has he been like this?" "From childhood," he answered.

Mark 9:22 "It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."

The father was candid about his doubts and in regard to the man’s faith.

Mark 9:23  "'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes."

Mark 9:24 Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!"

·      The father recognizes his doubts and tearfully pleads with Jesus because he did believe in Jesus power to deliver his boy,

·      If he did not believe, why take his son there.

Mark 9:25  When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. "You deaf and mute spirit," he said, "I command you, come out of him and never enter him again."

adding, Matthew said the child was cured from that very hour: *Matthew 17:18

Wow, the Creator of the Universe said this command to this demon.

Mark 9:26 Then the spirit cried out, shook the child violently, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, "He is dead."

Mark 9:27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.

Why were the disciples unsuccessful?

Mark 9:28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, "Why could we not cast it out?"

Very good question for all of us,

Matthew added, Jesus said, "Because of your unbelief; *Matthew 17:20-21

Mark 9:29  So He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting."

Purpose of prayer and fasting draw us closer to the heart of God, and they put us more in line with His power and word.

Not only did their failure embarrass them, but it also robbed the Lord of glory and gave the enemy opportunity to criticize and blaspheme. It is our faith that gloriļ¬es God (Rom 4:20).

Jesus is still leading them to Jerusalem through Galilee.

Jesus Again Foretells His Death and Resurrection

Mark 9:30 They left that place and passed through Galilee. Jesus did not want anyone to know where they were,

Was it because Jesus did not want the Galileans to be with Him and hinder this important trip to Jerusalem.

Mark 9:31 For He taught His disciples and said to them, "The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day.

Luke added "Let these words sink down into your ears, *Luke 9:44

Matthew added: And the disciples were filled with grief. *Matthew 17:23

Jesus clearly told His disciples that He will die and be brought back to life.

Mark 9:32  But they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.

Luke mention: and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; *Luke 9:45

He is still reminding them of His mission: death and resurrection.

In this small group, no one should be afraid to ask any question.  We might not know the answer, but we can look it up. If you have a question or even a comment, do not be afraid to ask.  If you have a question, which means someone else has the same question.

Who Is the Greatest?   Death Predicted

Mark 9:33 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, "What were you arguing about on the road?"

Mark 9:34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.

Were they caught with their hands in the cookie jar?

This was an embarrassing silence – shows they were ashamed with this kind of talk

·      It seems that this was the favorite debating topic among the disciples.

·      They all counted on Jesus to take over the world as “King Messiah,”

·      Debate was about who was most worthy to be Jesus’ chief associate.

·      Human nature is sure showing up now.

·      Jesus just told them He is going to die and then rise again

·      What were they concern about, being the greatest.

·      What were they thinking about?

Mark 9:35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all."

·      Jesus just gave them some important instruction about servants

·      Here is Mark’s special emphasis throughout his Gospel

·      The focus of the Messiah as a Servant.

·      This is what the Book of Mark is about.

Mark 9:36 He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them,

Luke pointed out that Jesus, knew their inner thoughts and had the child stand beside him.  *Luke 9:47

We know children are not good at deceiving their parents.

We are not like Jesus if we are good at hiding ourselves or deceiving others

Mark 9:37 "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."

Matthew 18:3-4 and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. (4) Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. *Matthew 18:3-4

Luke adds: whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.:  *Luke 9:48

Anyone Not Against Us Is for Us

Mark 9:38  "Teacher," said John, "we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us."

Do you think the disciples are frustrated when outsiders are casting out demons and they could not.

Some church groups would break away from others over minor issues

·      I wonder: Is this sort of where various denomination started.

·      Just look at all the Churches of God.

·      A number of them, we are not allowed to attend

·      We have to be baptized into their group.

·      They say the right words, but we have to still be baptized by them.

Mark 9:39 "Do not stop him," Jesus said. "For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me,

·      A person, not an open enemy to Jesus, they are his friend

·      At least to not discourage them in doing a good work for Jesus.

·      How we like to tear other churches and groups down today

·      We see it all the time.

Mark 9:40 for whoever is not against us is for us.

If a person is not an open enemy to Christ, they are friend,

Paul saw many men preaching Jesus from many motives, some of them evil - yet he could rejoice that Christ was preached

Philippians 1:15-18 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and srife, but others out of goodwill.  (16)  The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.  (17)  The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains.  (18)  But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

Mark 9:41 Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.     {simple to show kindness to others}

This action reflects faith and hospitality one would normally show to and or accept from other Christians.

Gap Theory: Genesis 1:1-2;

Genesis 1:1-2; The Gap Theory                            December 8, 2018

·      The gap theory is not an old theory

·      Sort of an offshoot of the 6-day creation, as described in Genesis,

·      Involved literal 24-hour days of creation

·      With a gap of time between two distinct creations

·      Between 1st amd 2nd verses Genesis 1

·      Explaining many scientific observations, including the age of the Earth.

·      Suggested by Thomas Chalmers, professor at University of Edinburgh,

·      A Christian scientist of his era around 1814

·      Very controversial in the religious circles today

·      Very few individuals agree and disagree on the age of the earth.

·      There are very few individual believe this theory

·      Choices we have, everything was created in 7 days

·      Or each day on creation was a 1000 years long.

·      Or the gap theory.

·      Or disregard this part of the Bible

·      Or just plain a haters of God, nothing to do with the Bible.

·      How old is the earth, in your view?

·      How can the earth or the universe fit into a 6,000-year history?

·      How does a “new earth” or “young earth” teaching deal with prehistoric fossils of dinosaurs?

·      Does God have a “7,000-year Plan”

·      with the first 6,000 years allotted to mankind before Christ’s return,

·      How do we explain the universe, the galaxies and the stars,

·      How do we explain the age of the earth itself?

·      Most non-Believers accept that the universe is billions of years old

·      They reject that creation demands a Creator.

·      However, I believe some “fundamentalist Christians” also err

·      Misunderstanding Scripture and ignoring overwhelming scientific evidence, as they try to force all of creation into a 6,000-year history.

·      What was the very first thing God created

·      Not the earth, suns, other planets, or the universe.

·      Jesus created a spirit world of many varieties or offices of angel beings.

A fundamental, very important fact is that God created ALL things through Jesus, the Messiah.

Colossians 1:16-17 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.  (17)  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

John 1:1-3  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (2)  He was with God in the beginning.  (3)  Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

2 Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

Notice, the angel’s witness the foundations of the earth were already created beings, before the physical world was created.

Job 38:4-7 "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand.  (5)  Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?  (6)  On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone,  (7)  while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?

·      Jesus designed and created these Spirit Beings; angels

·      Each individually created, millions or perhaps even billions of them!

·      Angels are actual personal spirit beings,

·      Each having a mind of greater capacity and ability than human minds, Capable of attitudes, purposes and intentions.

Hebrews 2:6-8 But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?  (7)  You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor  (8)  and put everything under their feet." In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.

Notice the Angels are called sons of God, but they were not begotten and born sons of God, but were created by God and have self-containing inherent life.
Matthew 22:28-30 Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?"  (29)  Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.  (30)  At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

Think about this, each angel is a direct creation, that is to say, they did not descend from an original pair of angels as we did; they do not have baby angels

Angels were created to be ministers, council, agents, helpers in God’s creation.

They were created as servants of the living God. Since they are created, they can only be in one place at any one time

Psalms 89:7 In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him.

Daniel 7:9 "As I looked, "thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. {Angels on the council}

Moses shows us an earthly description of the very throne of God in heaven. On either side of God’s throne was a super archangel, a cherub, whose wings stretched out covering the very throne of God.

This signifies that these superior angels were involved in the very administration of the government of God over all of God’s creation. They were aides, ministers, servants, assisting God.

Exodus 25:18-20  And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.  (19)  Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.  (20)  The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover.

Luke 1:26  In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,

Paul talks about how much lower are the angels than they are to Jesus and how all angels are to worship Jesus.

Hebrews 1:3-13 NIV  The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.  (4)  So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.  (5)  For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"?  (6)  And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him."  (7)  In speaking of the angels he says, "He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire."  (8)  But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.  (9)  You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy."  (10)  He also says, "In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

(11)  They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.  (12)  You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end."  (13)  To which of the angels did God ever say, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet"?

Did not Paul tell us that angels are to minister to us who will inherit salvation.

Hebrews 1:14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Peter said angels are spirit beings are greater in power and knowledge superior to humans

2 Peter 2:11 yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not heap abuse on such beings when bringing judgment on them from the Lord.

One of God’s promise for each of us is – A Guardian Angel:

Psalms 91:11-12  For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;  (12)  they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

Matthew tells us that our angels in heaven always see the face of our Father in heaven.

Matthew 18:10 "See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

The Bible mentions three angels of high rank:

·      Lucifer  now Satan the devil;

·      Gabriel, the Messenger

·      Michael, Archangel, the Warrior

Did you know that there was one super-important quality that even God’s creative powers could not create instantly, by fiat:

The same perfect, holy, righteous Character inherent in both God and the Word!  When angels character is set, it cannot be changed.  Humans can.

·      This kind of character must be Developed over a period of time.

·      It requires free choice and personal decision in life.

·      When we surrender to God and His Way and receive the Holy Spirit

·      Perfect righteous character comes only from God and the Holy Spirit

Jude 1:6  And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.

Now we come to Genesis

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning {of the physical universe} God created the heavens and the earth.

God: in the plural ‘elohiym indicating God and the Word, together.  This was long before Jesus created Adam and Eve.

These are material and physical creation, the entire material universe, a perfect creation, beautiful and a completed work.  Which is always good.

Peter tells us God did not spare angels when they sinned:

2 Peter 2:4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment;

{oh, angels can sin?}

·      Angels inhabited this earth when they sin before the creation of man.

·      Scriptures revealed God placed archangel Lucifer, on a throne on the earth. He was placed there as a ruler over the entire earth.

·      God intended him to rule the earth by administering the government of God

·      And the government of God was administered on earth until the rebellion of the sinning angels.

·      Sin was known before creation of man.

It is not revealed how long the angels inhabited the earth before the creation of man and when they sinned and there are penalties.

Sin is the transgression of God’s law

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

The penalty for the sin of the angels is not death, as it is for man to die. Angels are immortal spirit beings and cannot die.  They have to be restrained somehow.  Whereas, mankind are physical and can be destroyed without repentance.

Hebrews 1:7 In speaking of the angels he says, "He makes his angels spirits, and his servants flames of fire."

Hebrews 9:27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,

Psalms 104:2 The LORD wraps himself in light as with a garment; he {Jesus} stretches out the heavens like a tent

Isaiah 42:5  This is what God the LORD says— the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:

Jeremiah 51:15 "He made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

Galaxies are moving outward – stretching outward now.

Genesis 1:2 Now the earth was formless {waste}  and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
·      Sometime after the creation of angels, the heavens and the earth,

·      This verse reveals that the earth became tohu (a Hebrew word meaning without form, and wasted)

·      And bohu (meaning void, empty and wasted).

·      We saw Jesus did not create it that way.

·      This gap of time may have be many millions of years.

Let’s look at this verse closer, the Hebrew word hayah was translated “was.”

hayah: means to exist, that is, be or become, come to pass. The Hebrew word can mean both “became” and “was,” based on the context.

We know that Lot’s wife “became” (hayah) a pillar of salt.

Genesis 19:26 But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.

God did not create the earth tohu and bohu, meaning broken, formless and confused.

Paul tells us that God is not the author of confusion

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord's people.

Isaiah 45:12 It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus says the LORD, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain {tohu}, Who formed it to be inhabited: "I am the LORD, and there is no other.   {makes very clear not created in tohu}

Jeremiah 4:23 I looked at the earth, and it was formless {tohu}, and empty {bohu}; and at the heavens, and their light was gone.

Clearly, something happened between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. God did not create the heavens and the earth in tohu and bohu.

Ezekiel tells us that it is Satan who corrupts things:

Ezekiel 28:15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

John tells us that the devil was a murderer from the beginning and is a liar and the father of lies

John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

Satan’s sinful rebellion caused the confusion we find in Genesis 1:2.

Jesus said, He saw “Satan fall like lightning from heaven

Luke 10:18 And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.

Was this the first battle Satan had with Jesus and Satan lost which cause all the destruction on the earth?

Luke shares that Satan tempted Jesus with all the kingdoms of the world

Luke 4:5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

Satan is the ruler over the earth prior to his rebellion and will continue until he is replaced when Jesus returns to the earth to set up the Kingdom.

2 Corinthians 4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

Satan will try again in the future:

Revelation 12:7-11 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.  (8)  But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.  (9)  The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.  (10)  Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.  (11)  They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

When God placed angels, apparently a third of all angels,  on the newly created, perfect, beautiful and glorious earth, he set over them, on a throne, to administer the government of God, an archangel, the cherub Lucifer

Revelation 12:4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.

These verses covers what happen to Satan, Lucifer.

Isaiah 14:12-15 How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!   {did through the human political-military leader in his power}

The name Lucifer means “Shining star of the dawn,” or “Bringer of light,” as God first created him

(13)  You said in your heart, "I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north.

Lucifer had a throne and was a ruler. His throne was on earth, for he was going to ascend into heaven.

(14)  I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High."

Lucifer plain had nothing less in mind than knocking the Creator God off his throne and becoming supreme God himself.  Apparently he planned to put himself in place of God, over the universe!
Satan at the end of the 6,000 years allotted to his rule on earth’s throne, tries once again to seize God’s throne in heaven. Lucifer is a Created Being.

Revelation 12:7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.

Daniel 12:1 "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered.

Lucifer / Satan: His Origin, Agenda, and Destiny - the King of Tyre

Ezekiel 28:12-19  "Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "'You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

The masterpiece, of God’s creation, as an individually created being, the greatest one in the almighty power of God to create! The tragic thing is that Lucifer rebelled against his Maker.

(13)  You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your tambourine and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created

Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared.  Given music leadership.  Lucifer had inhabited this earth. His throne was here.

(14)  “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.

The wings of the two cherubs covered the throne of God.

(15) You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.

(16) "By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.   { What Caused the Angels’ Sin?}

God does not tell us how long it took and to persuade all the angels under him to turn traitor and follow him.

(17) "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.

After Genesis 1:2, God “Re-created” (Repaired) the Heavens and the Earth

David was inspired to reveal how God renewed the face of the earth.  A Surprising truth.

Psalms 104:30 You send forth Your Spirit, they are created; And You renew the face of the earth.

And a type of this refreshing and renewing that God performed about 6,000 years ago will again renew and refresh the earth at Christ’s Second Coming, after the terrible destruction Earth will suffer during the Great Tribulation and Day of the Lord.

Acts 3:19-21 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,  (20)  and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus.  (21)  Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.

Jesus started to repair the destruction of the rebellion, Restore?

Genesis 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

But the stars and galaxies were already in place at this time. So He made the light shine forth, and it was “good

Genesis 1:4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

It was Satan’s rebellion that caused the destruction of the earth before Adam. God did not create it that way. His sinful act left the earth and heavens in the ruined, chaotic, wasted state we read about in Genesis 1:2.

We will judge angels

Paul tells us: Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!

1 Corinthians 6:3  Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!
