Psalm 145 and my reflection

Psalm 145 and my reflection
This Psalm is directed to saints, which is us, those who have the Holy Spirit living in us.  Verse 10 said all of the Lords works will bless Him and His saints will bless Him.  We should be blessing God every day when we are awake or in bed when we meditate on His glorious splendor.   I thought the expression “LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works is eye opening when we really look at it.  Lord is righteous in all His ways, which is so true.  But God is gracious in all His works shows an import character that Jesus has, gracious which means courteous, kind, pleasant, merciful, and compassionate.  This Psalm concludes with a very strong promise for the saint, LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.  How do we show Jesus we love him.  The Apostle John said “we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.”  Interesting.

Enjoyed the class.  May God bless each one of you as we progress throughout the Holy Word of God.

1Jn 5:2-3 NKJV  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.  (3)  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome.

Psa 145:1-21 NKJV  A Praise of David. I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever.  (2)  Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever.  (3)  Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable.  (4)  One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.  (5)  I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.  (6)  Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness.  (7)  They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.  (8)  The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.  (9)  The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.  (10)  All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You.  (11)  They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power,  (12)  To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.  (13)  Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.  (14)  The LORD upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down.  (15)  The eyes of all look expectantly to You, And You give them their food in due season.  (16)  You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.  (17)  The LORD is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.  (18)  The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.  (19)  He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.  (20)  The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy.  (21)  My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever and ever.

Psalm 149 and my reflection

Psalm 149 and my reflection
This chaper 149 of Psalms is one of the most inspiring for someone who says they are part of the Body of Christ, which we are saints.  Verse 1 says, Sing to the Lord a new song in the assembly of saints.  Do we not realize that this is about us, saints of the Lord Creator God (Jesus) and we will sing a new song.  We find in Rev 5:9 and Rev 14:3 that is new song is again reference related to Sons of God, is this not the same new song.
Verse 5 tells us “Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds” as this is talking again to us to be joyful in glory.  Is this at our change, as the Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Cor 15 that we all will be changed, in the twinkling of an eye and will be glorified.  When we are in bed at night, is the best time in meditations when we are alone in thought with God, to sing praises to God.
The most exciting part of this Psalm is the return of our Great King and Priest to take rule over the entire earth at the start of the Millennium with us as Kings and Priests under the rulership of Jesus our Lord.  Jesus will force all those who are living to obervse the Word of God along with the Feast of Tabernacles and the other feast days as put in the Word, Lev 23. We will be able to really help individuals then.  What an exciting future that waits for us.

Rev 5:9 NKJV  And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

Rev 14:3 NKJV  They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.

1Co 15:51-52 NKJV  Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— (52)  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Psa 149:1-9 NKJV  Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints.  (2)  Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.  (3)  Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.  (4)  For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.  (5)  Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds.  (6)  Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,  (7)  To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples;  (8)  To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;  (9)  To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!

Psalm 139 and my reflection

 Psalm 139 and my reflection
This Psalm 139 is the most encouraging, satisfying and comforting to me about my beginning, living during this age and on to the future.   When I look at the Attributes of God, there are 3 attributes that stands out according the Psalm.
Omniscient – God is all-knowing.  Yes, The Father and our Lord Jesus does know what is happening and what is going to happen to me in my life.
Psalms 139:1-3 ISV  To the Music Director: A Davidic Song. LORD, you have examined me; you have known me.  (2)  You know when I rest and when I am active. You understand what I am thinking when I am distant from you.  (3)  You scrutinize my life and my rest; you are familiar with all of my ways.

Omnipresent – God is everywhere present.  So true, where can I hide from God.  Jesus knows where I am at all times and by the Holy Spirit will guide me in all things, while Jesus hand will guide me while His right hand keeps a firm grip on me and not let go.
Psalms 139:7-10 ISV  Where can I flee from your spirit? Or where will I run from your presence?  (8)  If I rise to heaven, there you are! If I lay down with the dead, there you are!  (9)  If I take wings with the dawn and settle down on the western horizon  (10)  your hand will guide me there, too, while your right hand keeps a firm grip on me.

Omnipotent – God is all powerful.  These verses shows abortion is destroying the Creation that Jesus did in each of us.  We ask, Jesus formed my internal organs, in my mother’s womb, being crafted in a hidden place.  And for my future, Jesus says when I awake, I will be with Him, changed to Spirit Being, a King and Priest at the start of the Millennium, helping those who are alive, to learn, teach, instruct, in the Way that our Lord taught us and by following His ways.
Psalms 139:13-15 ISV  It was you who formed my internal organs, fashioning me within my mother's womb.  (14)  I praise you, because you are fearful and wondrous! Your work is wonderful, and I am fully aware of it.  (15)  My frame was not hidden from you while I was being crafted in a hidden place, knit together in the depths of the earth.

Psalms 139:17-18 ISV  How deep are your thoughts, God! How great is their number!  (18)  Were I to count them, they would number more than the sand. When I awake, I will be with you.

Blessings

Psalm 121 and my reflection

Psalm 121 and my reflection
I found this Psalm very interesting.  “I life up my eyes to the hills” and what do I see is the City of Jerusalem in my mind’s eye.  I have not been to Jerusalem, but have read many things, looked at photos and aerials of the area around Jerusalem and what individuals have told me.  I look forward to the Millennium Temple in the home city of our Lords Throne in the City of the Lords or Jerusalem.  I can see why this Psalm is a Song of Ascents, going up to Jerusalem.
We are given a promise of “sun shall not strike me by day, Nor the moon by night.”

We know during the day, the sun can be so hot that it can give me sun-stroke which can head up the head and pass out and often fatal.  Whereas, when the moon comes out, it can be so cold that one can die from the cold at night.  Such extreme in weather that is like in desert like land.

Very interesting Psalm.

Psalms 121:1-8 NKJV  A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help?

(2)  My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

(3)  He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.

(4)  Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

(5)  The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand.

(6)  The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.

(7)  The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.

(8)  The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Psalm 128 and my reflection

Psalm 128 and my reflection
This Psalm 128 is one of the first Psalms I heard in the services I was attending when I was very young in the faith.  This Psalm is one of promise and blessings for our family if we do something.  I have learn to fear the Lord in the Scripture Way of doing it, yes, I do slip at times, but this promise is one that Our Creator God has kept.  Verse 3 says my wife shall be like a fruitful vine, which is so true.  We have 3 wonderful children, all grown now and with 4 beautiful grandchildren.  At thanksgiving time, my whole family is together around the table with our grandchildren.  Yes, Jesus has kept His promise to us.  It is a blessings to see my children’s children, grandchildren, growing up to fine individuals.

Psalms 128:3 NKJV  Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table.

Psalms 128:4 NKJV  Behold, thus shall the man be blessed Who fears the LORD.

Psalms 128:6 NKJV  Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel!
