What is myr plan for how to spend what time I have left?

What is my plan for how to spend what time I have left?
I plan on continuing the work that our Lord Jesus have given to me to do.  Since I am on the stages or age of my life, there is really no changed to what gifts and blessings I have received from our Lord Jesus.
I know when I received the Holy Spirit; Our Heavenly Father started a good work in me so it can go out to others.  We are here to praise our Heavenly Father and to build righteous character.  We do not know what will happen tomorrow.
We are told there is a time to be born, And a time to die in our lives.  Our Lord Jesus tells me to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and not worry about tomorrow.  Lord Jesus said we are to endure unto the end and what I am supposed to do you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.

The rest of the time I have left in this physical body is, what have I done for others and to serve others.
Blessings

Jas 4:14 NKJV  whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Ecc 3:2 NKJV  A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;

Mat 6:33-34 NKJV  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.  (34)  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

How many more weekends do I have left?

How many more weekends do I have left?

I have no desire to know how many weekends I have left.  Our Lord God has determined the length of my days and when I will be taken.  Yes, every person will die once, but your question is when, where and how a person dies, only God knows and this is the way it should be.  When I die, I have been promise a resurrected body and will be a King and Priest during the Millennium.
James tells me my life is like a vapor, appears for a little time and then vanishes.  Yes, I know my days are numbered,  but we are given encouraging words that  days of our lives are seventy years; which I have passed, but even better news, reason of strength are 80 years, if I am healthy, yet when I was younger, in my prime years there were troubles and sorrow.

So, no I do not know how many weekends I have left and I do not want to know.  It is only by the grace of God that we live as long as we do.

Blessings

Psa 90:9-10 NKJV  For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; We finish our years like a sigh.  (10)  The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

Psa 39:4-5 NKJV  "LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am.  (5)  Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah

1Th 4:13-17 NKJV  But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.  (14)  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.  (15)  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.  (16)  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  (17)  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Heb 9:27 NKJV  And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

Passover for Christians

Passover for Christians

Thank you for your interesting comments.  Ray, you always have a way with words that I wish that I could.  It was because of Dr. Missler classes that cause me to do an in-depth study and made it one of my 15 min presentations for Gold, called “14th or the 15th, Passover.“
One of the main reason why an amicable compromise was made because the Christians who observed the Passover, did it on the night of the 14th and the Jews did Passover on the night of the 15th and Christians did Passover (later changed to Easter) on Sunday (remember, the day starts at sunset in God’s calendar.) night our Lord Jesus took of the Passover was on the night of the 14th.The disciples ask the Lord where would he like to observe the Passover (they called it Passover.  Jews could not take of the Passover until the bodies were taken down from the crosses and if they enter the gentile hall, for they would not be clean for the Passover (main reason).
There is a very good reason why the Jews, even until today, still observe the Passover on the night of the 15th and not on the 14th.  The Jews observe the Passover on the First day of Unleavened Bread during the evening hours (Friday night) whereas the Lord Jesus, the disciples and those followed their teachings observe the Passover on the night of the 14th.
The New Testament Church would observe the Passover this year on Thursday night, not Friday night like the Jews do today.  It is somewhat different for the New Testament Church, bread and wine as Paul and John explains and footwashing service as John explains.
If we remember, Dr Missler said in the Ezekiel Teachings, which the Temple will only be open on the Sabbath and Feast Days and we all know that at the start of the Millennium, all nations will observe the Feast of Tabernacles.
Below is from one of Dr. Missler lectures.
Quartodecimanism (“fourteenism,” derived from Latin) refers to the practice of fixing the celebration of Pass-over for Christians on the fourteenth day of Nisan in the Old Testament Calendar (Lev 23:5). This was the original method of fixing the date of the Passover, which is to be a “perpetual ordinance”  (Ex 12:14).

115-125 A.D.: The Roman church celebrated Passover on a Sunday at least since the time of Bishop Xystus or Sixtus I  (Eusebius H.E. 5.24.14).
In 154 A.D. Polycarp visited Rome to discuss the difference in Paschal calculation with Bishop Anisettes and reached an amicable compromise.
Polycrates of Ephesus and Irenaeus wrote in support of the Quartodecimans (Eusebius H.E. 5.24.17).
The Easter Story: What Really Happened by Dr. Missler
Council of Nicea
The council unanimously ruled that the Easter festival should be celebrated throughout the Christian world on the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox; and that if the full moon should occur on a Sunday, and thereby coincide with the Passover festival, Easter should be commemorated on the following Sunday.  As result of the Council of Nicea, and amended by numerous subsequent meetings the formal church deliberately attempted to design a formula for “Easter” which would avoid any possibility of falling on the Jewish Passover, even accidentally!  …and Quartodecimans were excommunicated!
…and Quartodecimans were excommunicated! (when those who observed the Passover were killed by the armies of the western church).
Lecture by Dr. Missler from the Book of Acts
In their zeal to separate from Jewishness, “Quatrodecimans” were excommunicated by the early church.
1Co 5:7 NKJV  Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.

1Co 11:23 NKJV  For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;

Joh 18:28 NKJV  Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. But they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover.

Luk 22:8 NKJV  And He sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat."

Luk 22:15-16 NKJV  Then He said to them, "With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;  (16)  for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."

Joh 13:4-5 NKJV  rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.  (5)  After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.

Joh 13:14-15 NKJV  If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.  (15)  For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.

Zec 14:16-19 NKJV  And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  (17)  And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.  (18)  If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  (19)  This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Avoid Sin of lust

Avoid Sin of lust

Lust is something we can never get out of our nature until we are changed.  Our sinful nature will resist letting go, because it will bring its head up at times we do not expect.  When we repent and receive the Holy Spirit, a creation is made, combining the Holy Spirit and the spirt in man.  Lust is still there, but deep within us.  Paul explains completely how I feel sometimes, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.”

James tells me “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  (8)  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”  Instead of having the works of the flesh in my life, we want the fruit of the Holy Spirit directing my life.

Paul tells me “but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”  Paul again said, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells” and what are we to do “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Go to our Father by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God.

We should realize we are fighting a losing battle just as Paul realized he was fighting a losing battle, should we also at this time, for us to do the same thing.

Remember, we can't fight lust on our own, so ask the Holy Spirit to help us with this sin.  This is what grace is all about.  God is good.

Blessings

Gal 5:16-17 NKJV  I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  (17)  For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

Gal 5:18-21 NKJV  But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.  (19)  Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,  (20)  idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,  (21)  envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal 5:22-23 NKJV  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  (23)  gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Jas 4:7-8 NKJV  Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.  (8)  Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

Rom 12:2 NKJV  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Rom 7:18 NKJV  For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.

Php 4:8 NKJV  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Php 4:6-7 NKJV  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  (7)  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Learned learned: 2 Co 2:11

Learned learned

I found that 2 Co 2:11 “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.”  We know some of Satan devices to take advantage of us.  Some of those were Deceit, deception, deviation from truth, unforgiveness, self-vindication, self-focus of any kind, prejudice, emotions, confusion and I like to add to the list, works of the flesh  which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,  idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,   envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries.  Yes, we have told many times what Satan devices are.

What made me wonder about the verse, where it said “lest Satan should take advantage of us.”  After a person is put out of the body by the church, they have a true repentances for what they did.  If they are not brought back into the fellowship, then the person will feel their problem would be hopeless.   It is twofold problem, drive the individual to despair and against the church for not bringing the person back into the body, this will bring a evil report on the Name of our Lord Jesus to outsiders.  Satan does not care if the sinner is left inside the church or have the Body keep them outside if repented, this way Satan wins each way.  Satan wants to divide the church.  We know Satan walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, and making a division of the church is one way.

Blessings

Devices:  From G3539; a perception, that is, purpose, or (by implication) the intellect, disposition, itself: - device, mind, thought.

2Co 2:11 NKJV  lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Eph 6:12 NKJV  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

1Pe 5:8 NKJV  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Gal 5:19-21 NKJV  Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,  (20)  idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,  (21)  envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Priorities in Life

Priorities in Life

Being an ambassador of our Lord Jesus and our Father on this earth, my example on how I live my life is being broadcast every day and every minute that I am around others and when I am by myself.  I know the angels are watching us (especially my guardian angel) and reporting back on what I do daily.

So many times I am embarrassed and broken up when I realize I have  commit a sin and have to ask forgiveness.

To become more like our Lord Jesus, only with the Holy Spirit directions, I will open the Scriptures and read and study how our Lord Jesus lived and looking at the Apostles as we are to follow them as they follow our Lord.

The Apostle Paul tells us “Be ye followers (Imitate) of me, even as I also am of Christ.”  I would read what Jesus, our Lord, taught, instructed, commands, and how He lived His life.  We know this “Way of Life” is how we all should live. We know there is only two ways of life, Way of Life and the Way of death, and we are commanded to choose the Way of life.

I know that the Lord Jesus was the Spokesman and God of the Old Testament and so I have to study the whole Bible to know what Jesus wants of me, mainly to choose life.

The bottom line, my priority in life, is I want to be a follower of our Lord Jesus and be able to give this information on to others in various types of studies.

Blessings

Steve

Eph 6:20 NKJV  for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Act 13:47 NKJV  For so the Lord has commanded us: 'I HAVE SET YOU AS A LIGHT TO THE GENTILES, THAT YOU SHOULD BE FOR SALVATION TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.' "

Luk 4:10 NKJV  For it is written: 'HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER YOU, TO KEEP YOU,'

Rev 4:5 NKJV  And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Jer 21:8 NKJV  "Now you shall say to this people, 'Thus says the LORD: "Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.

Joh 12:26 NKJV  If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

1Co 11:1 NKJV  Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

1Co 11:1 KJV  Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Deu 30:19 KJV  I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Joh 1:1-3 KJV  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  (2)  The same was in the beginning with God.  (3)  All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

Mat 18:10 NKJV  "Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Can a person willingly and knowingly give away his or her salvation

Now, you ask a simple question, but an important question, “the question should read “Can a person willingly and knowingly give away his or her salvation (justification)?”

If I look at the following verses and someone who claims to be a Christian, is it possible?

We all know that the Apostle Paul told us not to quench the Spirit or extinguish or put out the Spirit fire.  Paul is writing to Christians and if it was not possible, then he would not say, “do not quench the Spirit.”  To me, this is kind of scary.

Our Lord Jesus told us to forgive others their trespasses, if we do not, our Father will not forgive our trespasses.  We should always be in a repentance attitude for others and ourselves.

Paul tells us “; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;”  This is another one of those verses that is kind of troubling.  Yes, I have a general feeling what others say about this, bitterness can make us defiled.  That is something I do not want.

Paul now tells us “some will depart from the faith” and “having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.”  When one conscience is seared, it is very hard to be in an attitude of repentance.  They will hate anything to do with our Lord Jesus.  This something none of us want for ourselves and others.

Our Lord Jesus tells us from the Scriptures His feeling about the “Wicked” and this word is mention 342 times in 324 verses.  See especially in the Book of Psalms.

The bottom line is we do not know the heart of the individual and only our Lord God knows the heart and all judgment is reserved from our Lord Jesus.  This is why I do not say so and so is lost or saved or lost their salvation because I do not know their heart.  I may see their fruits or works and not want to be around them and I do not know where our Lord Jesus is working with the Holy Spirit in other individuals.

Just a few thoughts on your question.

Steve

1Th 5:19 NKJV  Do not quench the Spirit.

1Th 5:19 ISV  Do not put out the Spirit's fire.

Quench:  A prolonged form of an apparently primary verb; to extinguish (literally or figuratively): - go out, quench.

Eph 4:31-32 NKJV  Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.  (32)  And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Mat 6:14-15 NKJV  "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  (15)  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

1Ti 4:1-3 NKJV  Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,  (2)  speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,  (3)  forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

Depart: From G575 and G2476; to remove, that is, (actively) instigate to revolt; usually (reflexively) to desist, desert, etc.: - depart, draw (fall) away, refrain, withdraw self.

Heb 12:15 NKJV  looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Heb 6:6 NKJV  if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
